Amanda Karling to Speak at LCI Congress

Amanda Karling, Project Manager at Demain, will be speaking at LCI Congress, taking place October 21-25, in San Diego, California.

On October 24 at 2:30 p.m. PDT, Karling will co-present a session titled “Oceans of Change: An Evolution of Modular Clinics as Products” with Megan Burns, Associate, Architect, Boulder Associates; Corrie Neuens, Sr. Project Manager, The Boldt Company; and Keith Novenski, Director, Healing Spaces, Indigenous Pact. Discussion points will include:

  • The creation of a fully modular healthcare clinic, designed to serve underserved populations, with groundbreaking speed-to-market efficiencies achieved by reimagining traditional construction methods.
  • How to collaborate with stakeholders to productize healthcare infrastructure solutions, moving beyond single projects to scalable, repeatable designs.
  • Actionable strategies for integrating trades from the outset, optimizing the flow of labor and materials, and fostering continuous improvement through transparent lessons learned and feedback loops.

LCI Congress is the premier event focused on advancing Lean principles in the design and construction industry. Bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and practitioners, the conference serves as a platform for sharing cutting-edge strategies, best practices, and real-world case studies that drive efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Attendees gain valuable insights into how Lean principles can transform projects, optimize workflows, and enhance outcomes across the built environment. The event fosters networking and knowledge exchange, empowering participants to lead change and implement Lean practices in their own organizations.
