Amanda Karling to Present at Lean in Design Forum 2024
In collaboration with project partners from Boulder Associates, The Boldt Company and Indigenous Pact, Amanda Karling, project manager at Demain, will present “Creating a Product Out of a Program” at Lean Construction Institute (LCI) Lean in Design Forum 2024 held from May 1 -2, in Chicago, Illinois.
This insightful presentation will take place at the Palmer House Hilton on Thursday, May 2, at 2:30 p.m. CDT. Attendees will discover how Demain and project partners productized their vision beyond a single project and integrated all trades early to enhance project efficiencies. The project team will also discuss how they designed for thoughtful flow of labor and materials in the shop and on-site, and share lessons learned between projects that drove continuous improvement.
Karling’s co-speakers include Megan Burns, associate, architect, Boulder Associates; Corrie Neuens, senior project manager, The Boldt Company; and Keith Novenski, director, transformational design, Indigenous Pact.
The Lean in Design Forum explores the potential of integrating Lean methods into designers’ workflows and how design benefits from Lean thinking and principals. For more information or to register, visit the conference website.
