Amanda Karling to Discuss Volumetric Modular Projects at Advancing Prefabrication 2024
For the third consecutive year, Demain will be speaking at Advancing Prefabrication, held from Feb. 26-29, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Amanda Karling, project manager at Demain, and project partners from Boulder Associates, The Boldt Company, Lerdahl and Indigenous Pact, will present “Creating a Product Out of a Program: How We Developed and Improved Our Volumetric Modular Process as a Project Team.”
The presentation will take place Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 2:00 p.m. MST in the Project and Field Management Track. Attendees will discover how Demain and project partners productized their vision beyond a single project and integrated all trades early to enhance project efficiencies. The project team will also discuss how they designed for thoughtful flow of labor and materials in the shop and on-site, and share lessons learned between projects that drove continuous improvement.
Karling’s co-speakers include Megan Burns, associate, architect, Boulder Associates; Jenny Han, director – design integration, The Boldt Company; Scot Lauwasser, senior regional VDC manager, The Boldt Company; Corrie Neuens, senior project manager, The Boldt Company; David Lerdahl, senior designer, Lerdahl; and Keith Novenski, healing spaces consultant, Indigenous Pact.
